Why visit the Sagrada Familia?

The Sagrada Familia is unlike any building on Earth. Gaudi began work on it in 1883 and, more than 140 years later, it is still under construction. It is already one of the most visited buildings in Europe, attracting over 4.5 million visitors a year.

How to book tickets

Skip-the-line tickets are essential. The official face-value ticket is 33 euros, but without a reserved time slot you can wait one to two hours. Our timed entry tickets include the audio guide and guarantee entry at your chosen time.

Nativity facade vs Passion facade

The Nativity facade (east) is Gaudi's original work: organic, detailed, and teeming with life. The Passion facade (west) was built after Gaudi's death and is deliberately stark and angular. Start on the Nativity side for the best first impression.

Should you pay for tower access?

Yes, if you can. The tower elevator takes you 65 metres up for panoramic views over Barcelona. Book the guided tour with tower access for the complete experience.

How long should you spend?

Most visitors spend 1.5 to 2 hours inside. The audio guide covers the key areas at a comfortable pace. Budget extra time if you plan to climb the towers.

Getting there

The closest metro stations are Sagrada Familia on lines L2 (purple) and L5 (blue). It is a five-minute walk from either exit. Avoid driving as parking nearby is extremely limited.
