   Main entrance — Nativity facade

   Begin at the east-facing Nativity facade, the only part completed under Gaudí's direct supervision. Spot the salamander, the turtle columns, and the 18 bells.

   Nave and forest of columns

   Step inside to experience the extraordinary interior. Tree-like columns branch overhead, filling the space with natural light filtered through coloured glass.

   Stained glass windows

   The west windows use cool blues and greens; the east windows warm ambers and reds. The effect changes dramatically with the time of day.

   Passion facade

   Exit through the stark Passion facade designed by Josep Subirachs after Gaudí's death. A deliberate contrast to the organic Nativity side.
